PROCUREMENT UNIT

RESPONSIBILITIES

• For each financial year, the Procurement Unit shall prepare annual procurement plan for the Commission.


• For each financial year, the Procurement Unit shall establish a procurement planning committee for the Commission.


• The Procurement Unit initiates the Commission’s procurement process.


• The Procurement Unit develops technical specification.


• The Procurement Unit prepares and issues Bid Document.


• The Procurement Unit receives and evaluates any bids received in response to solicitation.


• The Procurement Unit awards a procurement contract.


• The Procurement Unit conducts pre-qualification exercise for suppliers, contractors or consultants.


• The Procurement Unit supervises the development of all tenders.


• The Procurement Unit evaluates expression of interest by suppliers, contractors, or consultants.
